Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

504 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education and Science the schedule for the full move of Coláiste de hÍde, Tallaght, to its newly built premises; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23708/01]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that Coláiste de hÍde, Tallaght, has occupied its new school since the beginning of the school term.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

505 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will approve a contract for the provision of a primary school (details supplied) in County Cork. [23709/01]

My Department has received an application for grant aid towards the cost of a building project at the school in question. The Deputy will appreciate that there has been a massive and unprecedented increase in the funds allocated by this Government to the schools building programme at all levels. Decisions relating to the rate of progress to construction of these projects, including the school referred to by the Deputy, will be taken in the light of the allocations to be made for school building purposes in the forthcoming estimates.
