Question:

546 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department plans to upgrade and expand Ladyswell National School. [24025/01]

I proposed to take Questions Nos. 545 and 546 together.

The long-term accommodation needs of Mulhuddart national school are being examined in my Department and a decision on how best to meet these needs will be taken shortly. In regard to Ladyswell national school, I have asked officials of my Department to contact the school authorities to discuss the likely impact of the housing developments referred to, and how best to address any emerging needs.
