696 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans to provide protection to the ESB hydroelectric dam at Inniscarra, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26507/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 643, 644 and 696 together.

A heightened state of security awareness is in effect at vital strategic locations following the tragic events of 11 September, and against that background the Garda Síochána is taking all appropriate measures open to them. It would, however, as the Deputy will appreciate, be inappropriate to comment on the specifics of such security arrangements.
