Vol. 548 No. 2

Written Answers. - Freedom of Information Requests.

John McGuinness

Question:

253 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if all requests from the South-Eastern Health Board under the Freedom of Information Act, 1997, are being replied to within the time frame laid down; if there are exceptions; the number of Freedom of Information requests made within the South-Eastern Health Board region in each year since Freedom of Information was introduced; and the number refused to date. [4585/02]

Responsibility for the provision of information and access to records, under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, rests with the individual public bodies listed in the First Schedule of the Act. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
