129 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the proposals by Waterford City Council that the city boundary should be extended into Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6423/02]
My Department has had no communication from Waterford City Council concerning a proposed boundary extension. However, I understand that action is being taken at local level to initiate the formulation of a boundary proposal. Such a proposal, if advanced, would require the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government.
