Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
The person named submitted an application under REPS in October 2002. The area which is the subject of the application contains some commonage, and the applicant was asked to supply proof of his entitlement to claim these lands for payment. There are issues related to the ownership documentation submitted which require further examination, and this is ongoing. My Department will be in touch directly with the applicant as soon as a final decision can be made.

The application for payment from the person named was received in my Department on 14 March 2003. The application is being processed in accordance with the targets set down in the protocol on direct payments to farmers.
