Vol. 568 No. 2

Written Answers. - Corrib Gas Field.

Jack Wall

Question:

94 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources his views on the implications for the development of the Corrib Gas Field in view of the recent planning decision by An Bord Pleanála; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15938/03]

Since planning approval for the development and construction of a proposed terminal at Bellanaboy in County Mayo has been refused, it is now a matter for commercial decision by the developers of the Corrib Gas Field, Enterprise Energy Ireland Limited, EEIL, and its partners, to decide what further actions, if any, they might consider in relation to the development of the field, including the development and construction of a terminal. I understand that, as of now, EEIL is evaluating all options in relation to the development of the field.
