Architects (Registration) Bill, 1941—First Stage.

I move for leave to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to provide for the registration of architects and for purposes connected therewith. The Bill is supported by Senator O Buachalla, Senator Hayes, Senator Tierney and myself.

The Cathaoirleach has ruled as follows regarding this Bill—

"After consulting precedents which have been established in regard to Bills such as the Architects Registration Bill, introduced by private members, it appears to me that the Bill is one which ought to be referred to the Examiner of Private Bills before the Second Reading, in accordance with Standing Order No. 60 of the Standing Orders relative to Private Business."

An order will be made accordingly.
