Law of the Sea (Repression of Piracy) Bill, 2001: Order for Second Stage.

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the repression of acts of piracy committed by the crew or passengers on board ships within the territorial seas and internal waters of the State and, in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea done at Montego Bay, Jamaica on 10 December 1982, on the high seas; for the investigation of and punishment of such acts and of infringements of the collision regulations under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894; and to provide for connected matters.

I move: "That Second Stage be taken now."
