The conditions of access to private property by ESB are set out under section 53 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927. Decisions regarding construction of and/or access to infrastructure, and any resultant need for way-leaves, are a day-to-day operational matter for the Board and Management of ESB, in consultation with the landowner as applicable, and not one in which I have a function.
