View answerI take it that the Deputy is referring to primary schools whose enrolment falls below an average of eight pupils for two consecutive school years. That is the current minimum enrolment threshold at which a school's continued viability comes into question. Information on the annual enrolment levels of all primary schools is available under the statistics section of my Department's website at www.education.gov.ie.
