Deputy Noel Grealish asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the position regarding a foreshore lease application (details supplied) in respect of a Marine Institute renewable energy testing site off An Spidéal in Galway Bay; when a final decision will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The compilation of the Marine Licence Vetting Committee (MLVC) Report which is a key element of the foreshore decision-making process was completed on 6 July 2017. I expect the application in question to be submitted for a decision in the coming weeks.
