Following a successful appeal, this lady has been awarded disability allowance (DA) with effect from 23 October 2019 when her illness benefit (IB,) which was paid at a higher rate of payment, stopped. The first payment will be made by her chosen payment method on 20 November 2019.

Arrears of payment due, will issue as soon as possible once any necessary adjustment is calculated and applied in respect of any overlapping payments (if applicable).

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
