53. Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Transport further to Parliamentary Question No. 66 of 2 March 2023, if he will provide a status update on the rollout of park-and-ride facilities in Galway; if he will provide a further status update on the consultation process between the Park and Ride Development Office and Galway City and County Councils on the draft park-and-ride strategy for Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Transport

As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has agreed responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure in our cities including the provision of park & ride facilities.

Noting the NTA's responsibility in the matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a direct reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 days.
