Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if his attention has been drawn to any instances where the owner of a building which is or was operating as a direct provision centre, is alleging that the company contracted by the State to manage or run the centre is not paying their rent to the owner of the property; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department is not aware of any instances alleging that any company contracted by the State to manage or run International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centres is not paying the rent due to the owner of the property.
