244. Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to provide an update on a sports capital application (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20467/24]
View answerThe Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP) is the primary vehicle for Government support for the development of sports and recreation facilities and the purchase of non-personal sports equipment throughout the country. The application referred to by the Deputy was approved for funding under the 2020 round of the programme and my Department requested further information on 21 March 2024 to progress drawdown of the allocated funding.
