PQ Explorer | Constituencies

Parliamentary questions are an intrinsic part of Parliament and each year tens of thousands of questions are asked by Members. They are directed to each Department and answered by the appropriate Minister.

Overview

Take a look at the choropleth (map shaded according to data) to get a sense of how many questions are asked by public representatives in different constituencies or explore the popularity of topics in discrete constituencies.

You can also explore PQs in individual constituencies.

Visuals are rendered in real time using the Oireachtas open data API, which may result in a short delay, especially with initial loading and when loading different years.

Individual constituencies

Take a look at the most popular question topics in individual constituencies and a sample of questions put by representatives.

All parliamentary questions can be searched on our dedicated page. To visually explore other aspects of the questions, take a look at our other PQ Explorer pages.

All data are from the Oireachtas open data API, with data visuals rendered using d3.js in these source notebooks.
