Aaron was welcomed to Leinster House with his parents, Fidelma and Martin, and Make-A-Wish Ireland.
Aaron arrived via a Garda-escorted motorcade via Merrion Lawn courtesy of the US Embassy, where he was greeted by the Head Usher of the Houses. From there he made his way to the broadcasting unit to check out Oireachtas TV.
After meeting the broadcast manager and team, Aaron had a look behind the scenes of the live broadcast of the Houses, helping out with the Chamber cameras to catch the lively debate by Deputies, including one or two of his favourites.
Aaron also got to meet one or two of those favourites in real life as he made his way through Leinster House. After signing the distinghuished vistors’ book and taking a look around the halls of parliament, he and his family made their way to the Dáil Chamber in time for the Ceann Comhairle to welcome them formally as part of Dáil business.
Aaron even managed to fit in a chat with the Ceann Comhairle before leaving via motorcade once more. No rest for the busiest young man in the Oireachtas!
