Housing Committee to examine First Quarterly Progress Report Strategy for the Rented Sector

Committee Chairperson, Maria Bailey TD, said: “The progress report we will examine tomorrow is the first implementation report from the Action plan on Housing and Homelessness and records the progress made to date under the Plan. Committee members will want to see substantial action being taken over the course of 2017 if we are to really tackle the housing and homelessness problem in Ireland. The update we will receive tomorrow will give committee members the chance to discuss achievements so far in dealing with the crisis, as well as the many challenges still facing homeless people.”

The meeting will take place in Committee Room 1, Leinster House at 9:30am tomorrow, Wednesday, 18 January 2017.
