The Joint Committee on Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government will meet tomorrow at 9.30am to discuss ‘Investing in the Right to a Home’ - Housing, HAPS and Hubs Report. The meeting will take place in Committee Room 1, Leinster House.
The agenda is as follows:
Session A: Dr. Mary P Murphy and Dr. Rory Hearne; and
Session B: Officials from the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government and Dublin Regional Homeless Executive
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Chairperson, Maria Bailey TD said, “The study, published in July, was written by Dr Rory Hearne and Dr Mary Murphy of NUI Maynooth’s Sociology and Social Sciences Institute. Committee Members will be keen to discuss the report’s recommendations around family hubs and an emergency social housing building programme, as well as the report’s analysis of the Government’s 2016 housing plan ‘Rebuilding Ireland.’
