214 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if, in order to diminish the influence of third level entry requirements on the ordinary second level curriculum, she will introduce in Ireland a special university entry examination at the end of a special pre-university year such as operates in Spain.

I have no plans in this regard. The entry requirements for universities generally and the specific requirements for particular courses are matters for the appropriate authorities in the universities.
