Vol. 467 No. 7

Written Answers. - Emergency Services.

Tony Gregory

Question:

255 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if she will request the Garda to make emergency arrangements to ensure access for emergency services (details supplied) in Dublin 7 where a developer has partitioned off part of the street. [13996/96]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the gardaí in the Bridewell Garda Station have already been in contact with Dublin Corporation to have "no parking" signs erected and-or double yellow lines put in place.

I am further informed that the Garda will meet representatives of Dublin Fire Brigade to establish if the road width is adequate for accessing the fire service there. If the road width is considered inadequate the question of a total ban on parking in the area will be considered.
