I beg to move the second stage of this Bill. I think it is unnecessary to deal with it at any length or to offer any lengthy observations on it now. It has to be passed according to the Articles of the Constitution dealing with this position. The importance of the Office of Comptroller and Auditor-General is appreciated by every member of the Dáil and I beg formally to move the Second Reading.
