I intend to ask the Dáil to accept both these amendments.
Diseases of Animals Bill, 1944—From the Seanad.
When?
If they are not controversial, they might be dealt with now.
Is there any objection?
I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 1:—
Section 3. In pages 2-3 the words "intended for human consumption" inserted before the word "which" in line 35, page 2, in line 44, page 2, in line 2, page 3, and in line 11, page 3; and the words "seized in any abattoir or market" deleted in line 36, page 2, in line 44, page 2, in line 3, page 3, and in line 12, page 3, and in each place for the words deleted, the word "destroyed" substituted instead.
I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 2:—
Section 6. In sub-section (1), the words "diseased animal" deleted in line 49, page 3, and the words "animal which is diseased" or suspected of being diseased" substituted instead.
