asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the demands made by the cottage tenants' association regarding delay in introducing proposals for legislation dealing with cottage purchase and whether he is in a position to make an announcement in the matter.

The question of the extent to which practical steps can be taken to promote cottage purchase under more attractive conditions and to facilitate vesting has been fully considered by me. I hope to make a public announcement on the matter within the next few weeks.
