asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that in the Universal News film commentary on the opening by the Tánaiste of the Ballyshannon Hydro-Electric Scheme, the commentator referred, on at least two occasions, to the "Northern Ireland" Government and further if he will take steps if necessary by the introduction of proposals for legislation to see that in future, within the Republic, the Six County Government will not be so described.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyshannon Hydro-Electric Scheme—Film Commentary.
Mr. Boland
I was not aware of the matter referred to until it was brought to my notice in the Deputy's question. My Department has no function whatsoever in this connection and I do not propose to take any action.
Could the Minister say how the Six County Government is described in official Government documents?
The Deputy ought to know.
Mr. Boland
The Deputy can look up the Acts and official documents.
Do not be so snooty. Tell us whether you know or not.
Mr. Boland
I know that it is described as "Northern Ireland" in some Acts.
That is undesirable, is it not?
