Vol. 272 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot Post-Primary Education.

57.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that 200 children in Ballyfermot, Dublin of the age of 13 years will have no place to go for post-primary education this year.

Mr. R. Burke

There are at present four schools in Ballyfermot catering for second level students.

The vocational education committee proposes in the short term to provide places for a projected increase of 43 in the enrolment at Ballyfermot Vocational School by means of prefabricated buildings. Discussions are proceeding with the interests concerned in relation to the question of the provision of permanent premises for a new school for senior cycle pupils.
