Vol. 322 No. 11

Written Answers. - Shannonbridge School.

91.

asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the very serious condition of the national school at Shannonbridge; the plans he has to provide a new school; if tenders for a new school have been invited; if so, when the contract documents will be signed; and when he expects work to start.

Tenders for the extension of the national school were invited by the Commissioners of Public Works in January 1980, but none was received. Arrangements for the re-invitation of tenders are under consideration by the commissioners in consultation with my Department. It is not possible at present to say when contract documents may be signed or when building work may commence.
