Because of the very high number of applications for house improvement grants — about 123,000 to date—delays beyond the normal have arisen from time to time in carrying out inspections in certain areas. However, the position is constantly monitored and staff are redeployed as required. In this case an inspection will be carried out within a few weeks.

A grant of £530 will be paid in this case within a few weeks.
