I am at present reviewing the allocations under the remedial works scheme made by the former Minister for the Environment, including that of £100,000 to Wicklow Urban District Council. Examination of the results of a pilot scheme, carried out in Wicklow in 1986, is proceeding in my Department. I will be advising the council shortly in regard to the level of funding available for remedial works in 1987.
