asked the Minister for Education if she will provide additional funds to the Dunhill GAA Club for the provision of a recreational centre at Dunhill, County Waterford which has already cost £200,000 with an additional £50,000 to complete it, in view of the financial difficulties the club is experiencing.

Funds may not be provided under my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities for (i) works which were contracted for prior to the initiation of the scheme or (ii) financial liabilities incurred in respect of such works.
However, should further funds become available under this scheme every consideration will be given to grant aiding any proposed further works associated with the completion of the centre.
