Ceist:80 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education if she will grant free school transport for a family (details supplied) in County Leitrim.
Written Answers. - School Transport.
The family in question live less than two miles from their nearest national school and are, therefore, ineligible under the terms of the school transport scheme. The most my Department could offer them would be concessionary fare paying transport on an existing transport service to their nearest school subject to availability of accommodation on the bus. I understand, however, that the bus in question is carrying a capacity load at present.
