227 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry whether an application in respect of the rural environment protection scheme has been approved for a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if so, when payment will issue. [9552/96]
An application from the person concerned was received by my Department. The application was the subject of a monitoring check and farm visit. A number of deficiencies were noted in the agri-environment plan and the application and plan were returned for amendment by his planning agency. An amended agri-environmental plan was received recently by my Department and is being examined at present. Assuming that the amended plan is in order and the deficiencies noted have been corrected, payment in this case will issue within the next few weeks.
