278 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if funding has been provided in the 1999 Estimates for the refurbishment of Ballybunion Garda station; and, if so, when the necessary work will commence. [9080/99]
I understand that local Garda management are in consultation with the Office of Public Works about the costs of refurbishing the station and official quarters at Ballybunion. When the costs have been fully ascertained consideration will be given to scheduling the necessary work. I cannot give a date for this work at this stage as it is dependent on the financial resources available and other Garda building priorities.
