17 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the cost of insurance cover paid in respect of general practitioners in the general medical service with particular reference to each health board. [6771/99]

Under the GMS scheme, arrangements exist for contracted doctors to obtain a specified level of refund, based on a sliding scale of GMS patient panel size, on their medical insurance. The level of refund payments made by the Health Board in the two most recent available years is as follows:
