Ceist:754 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if a free travel companion pass will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford. [19762/00]

The person concerned is in receipt of invalidity pension and can qualify for a companion free travel pass if he submits confirmation by either his general practitioner or the Irish Wheelchair Association that he requires the constant use of a wheelchair.
Upon receipt of the appropriate verification the person concerned will be issued with a companion free travel pass.
