Ceist:

60 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the contribution currently made by the State to the cost of the annual insurance premiums of medical consultants; the contribution which is made by consultants themselves; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6742/03]

Consultants holding category I contracts under the common contract are reimbursed 90% of the cost of their medical indemnity subscriptions. Those holding category II posts are reimbursed 80% of the cost.
