86 Deputy Emmet Stagg asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his proposals for the effective regulation of solicitors, having regard to the statement made to Dáil Éireann on 21 November 2007 that he was not satisfied with the system of self-regulation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 89 of 13 December 2007. I have nothing further to add to the details of that reply other than to say that the Legal Services Ombudsman Bill was published on 27 March 2008.
