Durkan asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 373 of 4 November 2021 and with reference to the lack of evidence to provide for a move towards limiting the maximum permissible quantity of cigarettes to 20 sticks, if he will encourage the commission of a report to ascertain the likelihood that packs of more than 20 cigarettes lead to increased consumption in Irish smokers; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
