Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of engagements, including online meetings, webinars, briefings and in-person meetings he or officials from his Department have had with the National Women’s Council of Ireland from 1 January 2019 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraOfficials from my Department met with a representative of the National Women's Council of Ireland (NWCI) on 22nd July 2021 to discuss the work of the Balance for Better Business group.
On the 13th January 2022, I and officials from my Department had a virtual meeting with the NWCI and discussed the issue of legislative quotas for gender balance on boards and the work of the all-island women's forum.
