338. Deputy Chris Andrews asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will consider fast tracking the planning process for garden offices given that they could be used as short-term accommodation for refugees; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14446/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs part of the Government response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the emerging refugee crisis, my Department is assisting the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth in providing shelter and support to displaced persons from the conflict in Ukraine. A number of options are being considered including emergency planning provisions under the Planning and Development Act 2000. However, these will be determined shortly.
