Deputy Paul Donnelly asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if he will move to overturn the injunction on the employment regulation order in relation to the security industry, which has not received an ERO in three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraOn 24 August 2022 my Department was informed that the High Court had granted an Injunction prohibiting the commencement of the proposed Statutory Instrument giving effect to the new Employment Regulation Order for the Security Industry that was to apply from 29 August 2022.
My officials are in the process of seeking legal advice on the matter.
