Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the amount paid in late payment interest payments for goods and services provided to his Department in each of the years from 2016 to date in 2023; and separately, the top five highest late interest payments made in each of those years, and the service and goods supplier that received the payments, in tabular form. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department and its Offices paid a total of €66,672 in prompt payment interest and compensation to suppliers for the years 2016 up to 24 November 2023 ( see attached table ). The table does not include payments by the Department's Agencies. The table includes details of the top five suppliers who received the largest total in prompt payment interest and compensation in each year and what goods /services were provided by them in relation to that late payment.
