13 Mar 2024, 17.00

Deputy Fergus O'Dowd speaks to students at an education workshop in Leinster House

As part of our continuous process of educational engagement, our education officer, Conor Reale, has hosted a group of students from the Politics in Action organisation.

Led by project manager Dr. Thérèse Cullen, the Belfast-based project is a platform to amplify the voices of young people through active collaboration with politicians, activists, and high-profile partners.

The group attending Leinster House comprised a cross-border group of 30 students from Portadown College in County Armagh and Loreto Community School in Milford, County Donegal, all of whom study politics and society.

As well as educational workshops with our education officer and discussion with their local TDs, including Deputies Thomas Pringle, Fergus O’Dowd and Pádraig Mac Lochlainn, the students viewed the recently installed busts of John Hume and Lord David Trimble located in LH2000.
