Health Committee to resume discussion on adult safeguarding

The meeting will see the Committee return to the topic of Adult Safeguarding.

Officials from the Department of Health; and a representative from the Institute of Public Administration will appear before the Committee.

Committee Chair, Dr Michael Harty TD, said, “Tomorrow the Committee will meet with a number of bodies who will brief us on the issues relating to the development of a framework for how the State can protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect. Modernising the protection of vulnerable adults is urgently needed and we look forward to a productive meeting tomorrow.”
