Joint Committee on Health to meet for an update regarding the implementation on Sláintecare reforms

The Committee will hear from representatives from the Health Service Executive.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Seán Crowe said “the meeting tomorrow allows the Committee to get an update from the HSE on the progress has been made on the implementation of Sláintecare reforms and what measures are to be implemented next.

The Committee welcomes the recent progress on consultants signing up to the new public-only Sláintecare contract. It is an important step towards enabling us to introduce reforms to our health system which will allow for enhanced care and greater out-of-hours and weekend presence of consultants in our hospitals.”
