Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach to meet for detailed scrutiny of Capital Supply Service and Purpose Report Bill 2023

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 17 January, for detailed scrutiny of the Capital Supply Service and Purpose Report Bill 2023.

Ahead of the meeting at 1.30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “This Private Member’s Bill initiated by Deputy Matt Shanahan is legislation to require each Minister of the Government, with responsibility for a Department of State, to periodically prepare a capital supply service and purpose report to provide certain information on the assets that were allocated money from the vote for such Department in a relevant financial year and to provide for related matters. The Committee looks forward to carrying out detailed scrutiny of this Bill.”

 

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
