Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin to discuss Foreign Affairs Council, UN matters and the Individually Tailored Partnership Programme with NATO with the Foreign Affairs Committee

Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence will meet on Tuesday May 14th to for engagement with the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Michéal Martin to discuss the Foreign Affairs Council, UN matters and the Individually Tailored Partnership Programme with NATO.

The meeting will take place in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House between 15:15-18:15. 

 

 

Speaking ahead of the meeting Committee Leas Chathaoirleach Senator Diarmuid Wilson said: “We welcome the opportunity to hear from the Tánaiste on the developments at the EU Foreign Affairs Council and at the UN as well as Ireland’s relationship with NATO.”

“The ongoing crises in Ukraine and the Middle East, recognition of the Palestinian State and the upcoming Summit on Peace in Ukraine taking place in Switzerland are among the other issues we expect to discuss.”
