Vol. 134 No. 5

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 11, 12 and 13.

May I, with your permission, raise on the adjournment to-night the subject matter of Questions Nos. 46 and 47 of Thursday of last week?

Question No. 46 on Thursday's Order Paper?

The Order Paper of the 23rd.

I will communicate with the Deputy's office on the matter.

On the Order of Business, might I ask the Tánaiste whether he could give any indication to the House of when he intends to introduce legislation to enable paying the stockholders of the Great Northern Railway?

I could not say yet when that Bill will be ready for introduction.

The Tánaiste promised on the 24th July that it would be introduced immediately after the recess.

The Deputy will appreciate that the matter is not entirely under my control.

Could the Tánaiste say when it is proposed to take No. 14 on the Order Paper, the Agricultural Workers (Weekly Half-Holidays) Bill, 1952? It was promised last March.

It is intended to take it this session.

As soon as possible?

We hope to get it passed before this session is adjourned.

Would the Tánaiste say when it is proposed to take item No. 19 on the Order Paper, the Insurance Bill?

During this session.

Would the Minister for Justice care to say when he hopes to get his Public Authorities (Protection) Act drafted, approved by the Government, and introduced in Dail Éireann?

That is a six mark question.

It is an 18-mark question.
