Vol. 201 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Backweston (Dublin) Farm Buildings.

18.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give particulars of the new farm buildings which it is proposed to erect at Backweston Farm, County Dublin.

These buildings comprise a large cattle shed; a haybarn; machinery and implement sheds; a garage, a workshop and a workers' room.

Can the Minister say are the premises at Backweston now being used for purposes other than the propagation of seeds?

Both. The area is a very large one, of course, and while it is used for the purposes it was intended for; it is also used for other purposes.

It used to be used for seed propagation.

As I say, the area is a large one. Further lands were acquired since. They are used for seed purposes but they are used for other purposes also.
